Description

...Sailor Mooooon

I know what you all think. But I had to.

Sailor Moon is probably what got me into drawing.

I was already drawing her almost fifteen years ago. Here's the proof.

Photoshop CS3 + Wacom teh MAGICAL GURL.

Edit Changed the title, after noticing that =setsuna22 already did it first, a few days ago. You should check her version!

I have to say, I have a strong fondness for Sailor Moon, simply because that's what I started with when I started drawing myself. I love seeing other people's work transposed on a classic figure... like Sailor Moon. Everyone, for good or ill, knows who Sailor Moon is. At the very least, everyone in the drawing community does, lol.

Your work, however, is very striking to me. I haven't seen anything like this, and I've seen a LOT of Sailor Moon art pieces. Your style is amazing by itself, but seeing it on a classic figure is fantastic. You give her a darker, more sinister air than her original figure, in all her sugar sweetness, never really had. I would much rather watch a Sailor Moon with a little cynicism than a Sailor Moon that poops butterflies and rainbows.

There's very little wrong with this drawing. Aside from the moon on her earring facing down instead of up and her body being more muscular than the original, she's beautiful. And even the muscular body can be traded away as part of your art form. It's certainly not unappealing. She does not, for instance, have a manly figure. Just a fit one. The background is simplistic, but I like it, simply for the fact that it doesn't outshine the main character.

It has a very Gothic appeal and I like it very much. GOOD JOB! *thumbs up*
